What is Akordo?

The short version

Akordo keeps your band on the same page. Write chord charts once, line them up in setlists, and change the key without retyping anything. Everyone opens the same current version.

Keep arrangements, not copies

Attach several arrangements to one song: a different key for a different singer, a capo position for guitar, a slower tempo for rehearsal. Each arrangement can carry its own tunings, notes, recording links, and practice audio.

Explore chord and arpeggio maps

Browse voicings for any chord on guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, piano, or a custom instrument. Arpeggio maps show chord tones and scale shapes across the whole neck.

On the web you can use chord maps, arpeggio maps, and custom instruments without creating an account.

Organize with setlists

Line up songs in performance order, pick the arrangement for each one, and track readiness with New, Review, Confirmed, and Problem statuses. Give a setlist an event date and call times, see the projected runtime, and record what actually happened after the show.

Run the show from Stage mode

Open a setlist and press Perform. Stage mode shows one song at a time with large text, auto-scroll or paged layout, full-screen, and keyboard or Bluetooth page-turn pedal navigation between songs.

Bring in what you already have

Import songs from ChordPro files, spreadsheets, or exports from other apps. Importing only adds songs and never overwrites what is already in your library.

Collaborate in groups

Create a group for your band and move songs and setlists into it. Roles control who can edit charts, who can only manage setlists, and who can only view. You can also share a single song or setlist with someone by email.

Export to PDF

Generate consistently formatted printouts for rehearsal or gigs. Export a single song or a whole setlist in order.

Connect AI assistants

Link Claude, ChatGPT, or any other tool that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to your library. Ask your assistant to create songs, edit charts, build setlists, or audit your repertoire. MCP access depends on your plan.

How Akordo is different

Charts use the ChordPro standard, a plain-text format that keeps chords aligned with lyrics regardless of screen size or font. There is no proprietary format to get locked into.

One current version

Changes save as you work. When someone in your group updates a chart, everyone opens the updated version. Version history lets you see what changed and restore an earlier take.

Multi-instrument support
